When I was in Alghero, I found there was no Bus or Transportation into
the town from the Airport. I stayed the night in a near by Bed and
Breakfast.

Is AHO totally isolated from public transportation?

NO.

From Ryanair web-site:-

The airport is located 12 Km from Alghero city centre. FRS operate a bus
service into the city centre. The bus stop is located 50m from the arrivals
area. Journey time to the city centre is 20 minutes and the cost is ?0.70.
Information on timetable can be found on www.algheroairport.com. A taxis
rank is located in front of arrivals. Journey time to the city centre by
taxi is 15 minutes and costs between ?15.00 and ?20.00.

When were you there? I was there last August. There's a bus service year
round, which if not very frequent (every 1-2 hours), meets all the
flights. Just remember to by your ticket inside the airport itself- from
the machine. You won't be able to buy a ticket on board- and the bus
driver ejected a couple of elderly (Dutch IIRC) passengers when they
didn't realise this. There are also private mini bus services which pick
up at the airport and go further afield- e.g. Nuoro.
