Must be... I still think it is strange that there is a parcel of land
in that area that remains totally undeveloped.
BTW, "Dick Pacific" has to be one of the best names I have ever read,
anywhere.

Cam, Pinnacle was / is in the lot across the street from the Orleans
(mapquest the 4645 Tropicana Corp mentioned in the story).
I suspect you were looking at the parcel on the NW corner of Trop and
Decatur(?) Last I'd heard was that it was part of the flood control but
that somehow MGM had some ties to the parcel.
of course I could be very wrong on that.

I've heard the same thing, that it was part of a fllod basin,
but somehow you know somebody is going to develop it.
It might be the most highest value off strip acreage.
Notice I will spell my name correct this time.

if you click on this link then hit the aerial button it sure looks like
a flood basin.

if you slide the map to the west (or if you know the area) you know
those two blocks of trailers also sit on valuable property --- and will
likely be extinct one day.

agreed --- and I think that's why MGM somehow has its hooks in it.

I was always amazed that the huge lot at the SW corner of Sahara and The
Strip sat there empty for so long. That had to be one of the most
expensive vacant lots in the country. Looks like condos now...

That's exactly what I was thinking. I am going to steal it for the
name of a villain in a project I'm working on.
Dick Pacific, sleazebag in a Hawaiian shirt.

When we were stuck there in traffic a few weeks back,
the entire area reeked of sewage.
Massively unpleasant. >> Stay informed about: Andrew, I think this is that vacant lot on the way to Sush.. |
