Hi,

We are planning to visit a resort in Kemer in August with our 9 month old
baby. I would imagine that diapers and bottled baby food will be available
but would like to hear from others that have visited Turkey with small
babies.

What brands of diapers do you find there?....and
where?...supermarkets/pharmacies?
What brands of bottled baby food can we expect to find?
Are these products readily available?

Please respond if you can answer any of our questions.

I loved that...

Is it the first time you are going??? (I can feel that)

The companies in europe covers the Turkish market as it is in europe because
it is so close to it.

And turkey is also preety good in this area, it sells these products to
europe (mainly germany) and close/far arabic countries. I advice you to use
Turkish products, they are better and cheaper..

The biggest shopping mall of the city you will be in is MIGROS Hypermarket.
I checked out online shoppping department of the company at

And currently they have

BEBELAC
GUIGOZ
HERO
MILUPA
NESTLE
NUTRICIA
PIYALE (turkish)
ULKER (turkish)
JOHNSON & JOHNSON (all products)

brands on the store.

This shopping mall includes Toy's'rus also... (they dont have a online store
I couldnt check out the brands)

This company has small stores in Kemer but you do not need them. Local
stores will also have this products.

So I think, you wont have such a problem..

By the way' Turkish economy is the 12th biggest economy in the world. And it
has a open market strategy. So if you have money you may find what ever you
want.

Most of the companies listed here have a store in Antalya city centrel which
is 25 km away from Kemer.

You can be sure that you can find anything you can find in netherlands.
turkish market system is well developped like in europe or us. The only
thing i may warn you can be about drugs. Drug names MAY be different in
every country. I saw that even some companies like Roche and Bayer are
producing same drugs with different names in different countries. I mean
that if you need an exact drug you should take it with you, but you can be
sure that there's also enough drugs in turkey also.

I hope this helps.
Dont forget that it'll be very hot in kemer, and try to protect yourself
from sun in first days, otherwise you'll be like tomato, and wont be able to
sleep in the night because of pains in your shoulders. Smile
