My husband and I are sailing on Celebrity's Horizon to Bermuda on May 7. We
would be interested in hearing about anyone who has cruised to Bermuda
and/or traveled on this ship before.

We have sailed before but not to Bermuda nor on Celebrity. Any useful info
would be appreciated. Thanks!

I second this. We were able to navigate Bermuda, east to west, north to
south with the great bus system. Getting that three-day pass is the
best money spent in Bermuda.

I've been on the Horizon 3 times, most recently in January. She is due to
be sold at the end of the Bermuda season. It is a smaller, imtimate ship by
today's standards. 1 restaurant, 1 buffet, no specialty restaurants.
Great service, welcome champaigne. Wonderful menu and dining. A first
class act.

On the Bermuda run, the Horizon and Zenith are small enough to dock in
downtown Hamilton and to get through the passage at St. George. This makes
them THE ships to use for Bermuda.

In Hamilton, you are about 3 blocks from the bus station. You can buy a
multi-day pass and go anywhere on the public buses. This includes the good
beaches. No need for Taxis unless you just want to go that way.

Any other questions?

We are also going on that cruise. We are in cabin 9023. Give us a call.
We have sailed on this ship before and love it. Smaller and sedate.
On the <a rel="nofollow" style='text-decoration: none;' href="http://www.cruisecritic.com" target="_blank">www.cruisecritic.com</a> board you can sign up to attend a party on
Celebrity Cruises. It is usually not much, with just pasteries and coffee.
Some times there is a Celebrity hostess there and sometimes not. But is a
way to meet fellow cruisers. and something else to do on the ship.
You can register through the CC board, or go direct to
[secure.celebrity.com] and sign up. There must be 25 registered for the
party to take place and last time I checked there were not enough, but if
all of you sign up would be closer .

Thanks for the info. Do the buses run regularly? Is the schedule posted or
available so we know when to leave and return?

I didn't know this was Horizon's last season. Seems we have a knack for
that. We sailed many years ago on Carnival on the last season of both the
Tropicale and Festivale.

Bummer. Does it rain a lot? Or are they just unexpected showers that come
and go?

No, only when Bill is there(grin).

On our two cruises to Bermuda, we didn't see a drop of rain.
