Hi,

I'm trying to plan my honeymoon. My fiance and I both like the idea
of going to the Caribbean but there are so many options we don't know
where to begin. Any idea? Budget is an issue but we're aren't
looking for hostel type housing (if we can avoid it). Basically we're
looking for the best deal.

Any thoughts? Any help is really appreciated!

Hi,

not the cheapest but way cool are the villas near duncan... Silver Sands
is the name of the complex... from 1-2 bedroom bungalows to big 7+
bedroom things big enough for the whole extended family, friends, etc.

you pay for food/drink and a few things for the house... the staff just
handles that for you and you pay them back... quite reasonable really.

nice beach there... and if you'd like to go to a private/undeveloped
beach you can get your cook to fix a lunch and arrange a time to get
picked up and spend the whole day alone...

Hi;

Even though some obvious locations are Aruba, Jamaica, etc., have you
considered creating a honeymoon registry online for free? You can
choose the location and the things you'd like to do while there (i.e.
dinners, massage for two, daily excursions, etc.). Once you notify
your friends and family, they can purchase you the gift from your
selection within their budget. Who knows, someone might even spring
for the hotel+air deal you'd like. This way you could cut the cost.
Hope this helps.

Congrats,
Maria

If you want to go to a few different places in the Caribbean, why not
take a cruise? It is also the most cost effective. An inside cabin on
a 7 night cruise can be as little as $500 per person. The
entertainment and all meals are included on a cruise ship. You can be
pampered in the Spa and have as much activity as you want and visit
more than one Caribbean Island. I want to let you know that Cruising
is my business. I am a certified Cruise Specialist.

All I see is a comment about cost. The various islands are very different.
Each will have a range of costs (with some exceptions). Which island
depends on what you want to do with your time (besides the honeymoon
obvious). There are beaches, there are sports (which?), hiking, excursions,
historical things, dining, shopping, birding, etc, etc. The more you
provide the better help we can give.

Going to Belize is a good spot for a Caribbean honeymoon. The hotels
there are affordable and there's this website you can actually go and
make a bid for the destination of your choice. My colleague was the one
who recommended me this site and he has been to Belize last year during
Thanksgiving.

Why don't you go on a cruise to the Caribbean? That way you are not
spending $$ on hotels, food, entertainment. I have my own online
travel booking engine and am a Travel agent. You can check my website
at www.liveearthtravel.net. Click on Book Travel. There is also a
honeymoon registry on the site ---FREE to the bride. Instead of
toasters, and stuff you don't need, your guests can give gifts related
to your honeymoon. It also has a blog feature so you can communicate
with your guests. This is a great home business anyone can have for
under $500. I did it to travel as a tax write off and help support my
terminally ill daughter, I hope this helps--Happy Traveling---Irene

A lot safer and cheaper than going to Aruba.

Hi,

but for a honeymoon "cheap" isn't always the top priority.

you can do "cheap" in a 2nd rate mexican hotel.

but for your honeymoon you want... more...

A good friend did Sandals Montego Bay for his honeymoon.

We're going back to Jamaica too... but we're doing Couples Negril

(we did Couples Ocho Rios last year, and I've done Couples Negril, and
the villa scene)

but for our "Weddingmoon" we're going to Negril.

Everything a couple in love could want for a destination... and Couples
IS a couples destination... they don't accept singles (except under
extreme circumstances... my 89 year old mother could come as part of
the wedding party, for a maximum of 3 days)
