Cheap Flight LDN-BKK?

The opportunity has arisen for me to bugger off to Thailand. I'm free to
travel from 28th Jan and would like a return ticket, open for ninety days
for one person. Direct flight if possible. Unfortunately, being peak time
the flights I'm being quoted are £700-£800 (WestEastTravel etc.). I
understand that the flights usually drop in price mid-jan but I'm getting
mixed messages on this info. Is anyone aware of any better prices or can
anyone point me in the right direction?
