Did you hear the one a few years ago about the detour to pick up a
takeout order by one passenger plane? They have to know that
disciplinary action will stick and they have to rely that it will
always be enforced.

When you're a mess and dicombobulated, you don't know how to right the
wrong of deep inconvenience - what do you do? Do you just walk away?
Try to shrug it off? Pout? Take it badly but then make YOURSELF feel
even worse by not giving satisfaction or assurance to the people on the
receiving end? China Eastern Airlines better find that guy and write
up a report and make it available to the airport in addition to
apologizing.

Chinese jet entered western Japan airport runway without clearance

A China Eastern Airlines jet entered the runway of Kansai International
Airport in Osaka Prefecture before takeoff in October without clearance
from the air traffic control tower, government officials have revealed.

The incident forced another aircraft that was making a final approach
to the airport to go around and redo the landing. The Land,
Infrastructure and Transport Ministry has warned the airline over the
incident.

At around 1:56 p.m. on Oct. 14, an air traffic controller called China
Eastern Airlines Flight 516 bound for Shanghai while it was taxiing to
the runway prior to take off, but there was no response, ministry
officials said.

The aircraft stopped once at the entrance of the runway, but soon
entered the runway without clearance from the control tower, forcing a
controller to order another aircraft making a final approach to go
around.

The copilot who was in charge of radio communications on the aircraft
switched the radio to the wrong frequency and was unable to receive
radio waves from the control tower for about two minutes. (Mainichi)
