Do I have enough time for a one day trip to the mountains for viewing the
sites? I am in town for two full days (one to see the baseball game), but have
only one day of free time to see the area, what do I make time for? Kathy

If you are just for sightseeing, one day is enough to make a round-trip
tour to the Rocky Mountain National Park from Denver. Make sure you
drive the Trail Ridge Road which winds above the timberline and provides
you with the spectacular views.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

You can get from Denver to Rockie Mountain National Park in about an hour and a
half. Go north from Denver and then west, across the north end of Longmont and
you will soon be in the foothills. It is well worth it.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Here is part of my response to a previous Denver visitor posting.

Downtown Denver has many attractions including the Molly Brown House
(of Titanic fame) (www.mollybrown.org/), the Denver Art Museum
(www.denverartmuseum.org/), Colorado History Museum
(www.coloradohistory.org/) and the Ocean Journey Aquarium
(www.oceanjourney.org/). Near downtown is the Denver Zoo
(www.denverzoo.org), Denver Museum of Nature and Science (a must see)
(www.dmns.org/), and the Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum
(www.wingsmuseum.org). Shopping in downtown Denver includes the Denver
Pavillions, Larimer Square, the 16th St Mall, and LoDo (Lower
Downtown).

Two Denver attractions you might not hear about are the Tattered Cover
Bookstore in LoDo and Cherry Creek (www.tatteredcover.com), one of the
finest independent bookstores in the USA, and The White Fence Farm
Restaraunt in the suburb of Lakewood
(http://www.whitefencefarm.com/denver/index.html), a complete American
country dining experience.

Here are some sites that have more Colorado visitor information

Enjoy your visit to Colorado!
