Dear Ermalee,

Although I do not know you personally, I have been wondering how you
are. I hope you are okay. May God bless you in your time of need.

Blessings,
Marsha

Thanks for asking, Marsha. I have been fairly well emotionally during
these trying times. But of course I am on some pretty heavy drugs for
the back pain The surgery went well, but I am sadly afraid that I am on
the eve of another one. The pain that I'm having now brought the doctor
out for a Sunday evening house call, and I will be scheduling an MRI in
the morning. Everyone has been wonderful to me. Bill's funeral was well
attended, then 77 friends and family gathered for a gormet meal
afterwards. With the pills, my pain subsided somewhat to get me through
it. Someone said that it was the nicest funeral service she had ever
attended. I believe Bill would have been pleased. That 21 gun salute
and the playing of taps evoked a lot of tears. The weather was bright
and sunny, but cold.
Oh, I miss him so much, and I wish I could hug all 135 people who
emailed and otherwise sent condolences.
My cousin in Binghamton called and shared one of her thoughts with me.
She said the after her husband passed, she had a feeling of an angel on
her shoulder (not literally) saying that from this day forward, her life
would be different, but could still be good. I like her thinking.

Thanks again,
Ermalee <---going back to bed

Ermalee, You hang in there. It was three months ago today I lost my
father and my mother lost her husband of 60 years. It hasn't been
easy
for any of us. But we take it 1 day at a time. I know the loss your
feeling
and an emptyness that can't be shared with anyone else. The
intentions of
others is nice but nobody knows what your feeling inside.

I find my trips to the cemetary are helpful and I'm sure you will to
when your
feeling up to it. Your not on anyones schedule. You take your time
and do in
your time schedule. Your allowed time to yourself and time to deal
and cope.
I know some days and nights will seem endless but rest assured the sun
will
rise tomorrow and it will be another opportunity to remember all those
wonderful
memories you have. No one is truly gone from our lives that we keep
close and
remember in our hearts.

Life does go on and our loved ones would want us to go on.

Take Care
Rick

Look up, Ermalee. I have seen the most beautiful cloud formations
lately. I think your Bill has been put in charge of clouds.
