I am trying to find information and images of the really old 3 wheeled
trucks that you see so often in rural Greece - the sort with a motor cycle
engine and tiller steering. Can anyone give me some leads - not much success
with Google yet.

That's a brand name. The generic term is "trikiklo."

Back in the sixties, these were ubiquitous, even in the cities. This
was a transitional mode of transport for the poor, between the donkey
carts and the used small trucks of today.

In 1963, a trikiklo became notorious when it was used in the
assassination of the left-wing deputy Grigoris Lambrakis. This was
depicted in the movie "Z."

There are also rotovators with wheels you can swap for the tines although I
don't know what you would call them.

Afaik, the term "trikiklo" nowadays is more often used for the childrens'
vehicle with three-wheels (three-wheeler or tricycle in English) - see also
the shop trikiklo in Athens that sells high quality products for children.
