Archived from groups: alt>travel>greece, others (more info?)

Greetings fellow travelers,

We have set up a site for people traveling to Athens that might need
answers to specific, practical questions from locals - as opposed to
infobots and advertising blurb. Check it out:
http://www.findinathens.com

The site is backed up by roaming Athenians who love to hate their
seductively ugly city and is a pure "no tricks, no gimmicks" honest
offer: you pay for the info, so we do not need to run after
commissions from hotel owners and shops.

We won't book hotels for you or single out favourite jewelry shops
(but we can suggest an area and give you pros and cons for a few) and
we won't book cruises for you (but we can explain what your money and
time can really buy). We would also suggest only restaurants that we
visit, but we wouldn't suggest the same one to all of you, ‘cause then
it would be full of foreigners!

In order to fully appreciate the effort and staffing requirements for
our site, we offer a completely free, no-hidden-catch,
no-registration-required, usage period ending April, 2004.

So, why not go straight to http://www.findinathens.com and pop the
question? All comments are appreciated.

The FindInAthens team
