Hi Flying BA from Gatwick North on Weds at 1450.
We've never caught a flight at this time before, we usually catch a
morning flight after staying overnight in Gatwick
The plan is to arrive at Gatwick by train at 1237.
From your experience will this give adequte time to make the flight ?

Thanks
Jan

If you are flying International, especially if it's a holiday rather
than business destination, I would allow more time than that.

That's likely to be better than average, as you'll have fewer "one trip
a lifetime" people trying to check the kitchen sink in as excess
baggage. Will you be able to use self-checkin (it might even be
compulsory these days). Or is the extra Spanish "inquisition" going to
get in the way?

I've already supplied the extra info. I'll check in online today and use the
bag drop tomorrow. Don't need to shop or hang around in departure lounge.
The only part that concerns me is possible "security" queues. As I said in
the past we've always caught early flights and never had a queue problem.

To answer my own query:

Arrived Gatwick train station at 1240. Had to queue for approx 10 mins for
bag drop. We were in the departure lounge by 1320.
