Re: his hotel in BA. What would you expect from an $87/night hotel in
a major world city? Rated 3 stars by Travelocity and Orbitz, and rated
a "1.0" and a "1.5" (out of 5)by travelers who wrote reviews. Star
systems are flawed, in my own experience hotels rated 3 stars in Europe
and South America are more like 1 star or 2 stars in the US. You get
what you pay for.

Re: "we booked a tour of the city for $14. On the tour we saw, well
lets face it, we saw…. not much. We are all adults here and can handle
the truth. There is nothing to see in Buenos Aires." That statement was
so sad.

I did appreciate the author's humorous style of writing. I could not
help feeling, though, that some US travelers would be better off staying
home. Or just not leaving the cruise ship. A little internet research
before traveling so far would probably have made some aspects of his
trip more rewarding.

FWIW,
EF

A classic... Loved the part about ramming the Suzuki Grand Vitara... (after
it fell in the water)...
