Yeah, I was a little disappointed to hear that about the Palazzo. I
guess it makes sense, though, since they & the Encore are connected to
other properties.
I didn't realize the average handle in a Veges racebook was over $1
million/day.
Is if FEBROOOARY yet?

I'm not too up to speed on the size of many of the Strip racebooks.
If the make the existing books bigger, than it would make sense. If
not, than Burt's right. Oh my, I am just so cornfused I don't know
what to think!

Hmmmmmm.....interesting.
A couple of weeks ago, I called and spoke with the Palazzo's concierge
service. They told me that the casino WILL have a sportsbook but they were
unable to give me a completion date.
I just called back and was told that there will only be a satellite
sportsbook at the Palazzo and it is expected to open this coming Monday. It
won't have seats or viewing screens but folks will be able to place bets.
That basically sucks.

I don't think it makes sense at all. Both hotels will try and serve
twice as many guests with the same sports/racebook areas that were too
small to begin with, IMO.

One of the guys going out to LV with me next week got 3 nights at Bill's
comped during Super Bowl weekend from just his football and Breeder's
Cup betting one weekend last Fall. He also got an invite to the IP Super
Bowl party.

Thanks for the update. I suspected we still weren't getting the whole
story on that.
450,000 square feet of new shopping space, and a stub of a sportsbook.
Adelson needs to get his priorities in order.
