For those who have been there, how would you rate the beaches?

The beach at Morne Rouge Bay is a classic, somewhat secluded, with
a rustic beach bar at the Gem resort, the only commercial outfit on
the bay. The Grand Anse beach is much larger and much more commercial
and has the all fancy resorts located on it. Its very nice but not as
good as the beach, say in Negril Jamaica, IMO.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Grand Anse is an excellent beach with the most activities. Morne Rouge
is smaller, quieter, and in some ways nicer. Beaches in the L'Anse aux
Epines or Saline area may have a restaurant or hotel, but few other
activities; as beaches, they are OK. Elsewhere, La Saggesse is calm,
shallow and attractive, and Bathway in the North is very popular with
locals. There are other beaches that are quite deserted and some are
great for beach-walking. You may get more information at
grenadaexplorer.com.

I prefer Morne Rouge, but the best is Tamarind beach, near the airport.
