Only if the suspects were members of the Kennedy clan.

The same kind of crime has occurred in the US (even outside of
MA) weekly if not daily. Sometimes they find the perp, many times they
don't. Sometimes they get a person of interest who is actually guilty
and sometimes they need to let the guy go because of lack of evidence.
Just because Nancy Grace thinks he's guility (BTW: Talk about wastes of
protoplasm. Never thought I"d EVER find someone who made Geraldo look
like Edward R Murrow)) doesn't make it so.

Or be OJ or Robert Blake or Gary Condit

There was never enough proof that the 'suspects' could be brought to
trial. Lots of people disappear and we may think it was foul play,
but we don't know. It may take years to figure out where they went
and what happened to them. It isn't enough to suspect that they may
be involved. It might even not have been anyone local.

My own first cousin was jogging, and was found drowned by a tiny
trickle of water. No one ever figured out how he managed to drown in
that amount of water. Was he mugged and drowned as a result of the
struggle? Was he hit be a car and flung into the stream and drowned?
No one knows and I don't think anyone has attempted to find out..

And there are several people who have been convicted of things they
didn't do and they were later cleared.

Chuck, take a look at Curaçao. It's Aruba's sister island and they're doing
a major tourism push these days, so good deals can be had.

I loved Curaçao with a passion I'd not felt in years. Very rich in culture,
excellent food both homestyle and gourmet, varied ecosystem, and a diverse
population in terms of nationalities. The view of Willemstad's waterfront
alone is worth a visit.

Curaçao made our short list... mainly due to the last minute
availability of a very nice charter package out of Boston. In the
end, however, we chose the Mayan Riviera. This was tough for me
personally because I had previously worked in that area and was less
than thrilled with certain aspects of visiting there. But there was
no denying that it was the best bang for the buck (US$) and made the
most sense for this particular conflicted, "short notice" vacation.
Also, several of Chris' friends regularly vacation there and strongly
encouraged me to put my work-related feelings aside and us to go
there.

Sadly, with everything decided and our vacation set to book the very
next morning, we experienced an untimely, unexpected death in the
family. All vacation plans are now on hold while we grieve. Still,
I'd like to thank everyone for their very helpful ideas, thoughts and
suggestions. It was not a wasted effort. We now have lots to
consider for a future vacation... possibly later this year... even if
this one was not meant to be.
