hello,
so, to make along story short, I am looking for a place that I can
combine getting some arthroscopic knee surgery(torn meniscus) and some
warmtime ( I live in Saskatchewan, Canada -its getting colder) I would
prefer a reputable facility and one I could get into in the first week
in February. I need to be recovered and up and running by the first
week in March(back to looking after the cows). The country is
irrelevant as long as it is warm and since I don't have a whack of money
- hopefully the procedure would be less than up here.
thank-you in advance.

I would look into Costa Rica. Lots of Expatriates there, so may have good
doctors. >> Stay informed about: Help! need a good hospital in Latin America |

I aggree with Costa Rica - Do a google search for Canadian Association
Costa Rica --
Also, other options would be Mexico City or Guadalara which has a
large expatriate community at Lake Chapala - Guadalara has a large
medical school. Argentina could be viable but the cost of getting
there is not inexpensive.

Cuba already has a well developed setup in place for
Canadian medical tourists.
Harvey should try a web search for
- Cuba medical tourism -
There are also direct flights from Toronto to Cuba,
less complicated for a Canadian than flying elsewhere
in Latin America. Particularly if there are stopovers
in the US.

A. what happened to the supposed universal free healthcare in Canada?
You mean it doesn't exist?
B. you are slightly out of your mind looking to do an operation based
on whether it is warm and cheap as opposed to finding a competent
surgeon first in some place that will match the other criteria. You
can get it done warm and cheap in a back alley in Florida if that's
you're criteria.

He'a a Canadian and doesn't know this? But then again, all he cares
about is warm and cheap so maybe he doesn't.
