Wrong again, Elmer.
Market will stay calm now that Super Tuesday is over.
Hold on to stocks as their is simply no other place to really put them right
now.
Even with mortgage rates low, nobody continues to really bite right now.
Everyone has an opinion on oil prices right now, and your guess is as good
as mine. Keep an eye on Mid East talks between Israel and Fatah right now.
I still predict that Microsoft will own Yahoo by the Spring.

The Burger can be an excellent long-term investment. To preserve its
value, store it in a freezer or in a dry climate like Las Vegas. An
ideal location is inside Yucca Mountain, where the half-life of your
burger will be at least 250,000 years.

Not so fast, Mr. Class Warfare. Your local Best Buy or Circuit City
offers quality TV viewing at no charge, with stunning high-def screens
and surround sound. Arrive early and be prepared to fight the other
bums for best seating.

Okay, you can be El Paso Electric Company (EE). After gaining 4.9% in
2007, you're down 9.2% so far in 2008.
Hey man, you're an electric utility that pays no dividend -- what's up
with that?

Meanwhile Burt, my portfolio stayed ahead of S&P for the 9 straight year.
I am not getting rich here (yet), but that one call earlier in the year was
a true touchdown.
I continue to look at what people are calling a "recession." The housing
market looked more like greed and stupidity to me.
Greed on the part of all the amateur 'flippers' and stupidity on all the
buyers who bought their first home with their emotions and not their
wallets. Many lenders also got caught up in making loans that just were not
going to work, but took the commissions anyway.
On the commercial real estate business side, at least in Green Valley and
Henderson, while I see a lot of home foreclosure, I don't see that much
business strip mall foreclosure-at least not on Stephanie, Horizon, Eastern
and Sunset. Lending continues to be moderate and weak but may that is not a
bad thing as the market adjusts.
And if this is indeed a recession, where is everyone getting all this money
to gamble with? Sometimes despite all the reading I do, I just take a look
at the neighborhood see how and what people are buying, (and sometimes what
they are NOT buying) and go from there.
Here is a strange one for you, ever studied the connection between rising
egg prices every 10-20 years and the economy? I am writing an article about
it now which I hope to publish next month.
Call me crazy but check what were sharp price increases in eggs in 1974,
1990 and 2007. The economy "burped" and then as things cooled off, egg
prices slowly began to drop and the market rebounded.
Ok, cart me away, but keep an eye on them eggs.

Yup.
Gets sunburned often on that bald head-even on cloudy days.
