Hostel (Hostile?) World

I'm interested in hearing any stories/opinions people might have about
HostelWorld and it's affiliates.

Do people care that they often put guest houses in their hostel
listings,
or that they use text and images from hostels' own websites...

Are you a competitor, because I'd imaging only a competitor would care
