I have stayed at only one on your list, The Place d'Armes. The
location can't be beat (St. Ann and Royal), just steps from Jackson
Square. It has very lovely courtyards, and generally nice rooms.
Beware, however of rooms with no windows, as they are in an old
rectangular building, and are dark. You would have no idea you are in
the middle of the French Quarter when in these rooms. (They are very
quiet, however.) Ask for one with a window. We have had both, the
other being a large wonderful room on the second floor, on the back
side of the hotel. It overlooked yet another courtyard, with a great
bubbling fountain, with light streaming in the window. They also offer
a nice continental breakfast, and newspapers (great out by the pool),
which we enjoyed on the rare occasion that we weren't walking down the
2 blocks to Cafe du Monde.
They have a nice web site, with pictures.
