Hi All,
I am looking to take my wife somewhere in the Caribbean/Yucatan as a 2nd
honeymoon. We went to Cancun on our first and stayed at a great AI. We are
not really the partying, drinking party animals that we once were so I am
not sure that an all-inclusive would be the best bet for us financially.
What are your thoughts on this? Are there any "semi-inclusive" resorts in
the Caribbean/Yucatan? Ones that may include food but not drink? Is there
a high/low season for Cancun or other areas of the Caribbean? Ideally we
would like to go in mid/late May of 2005. Finally, the place would need to
accept kids (age 14 & 1  . Yeah, I know, some 2nd honeymoon w/kids. LOL
Any and ALL input is greatly appreciated.

Just came back from the Bahia Principe Tulum a few
weeks ago
Its abt 60 mile south of Cancun.
was great!!

I used to hate the idea of taking a cruise - kind of like my snotty-kid
contempt for a Winnebago vacation to Disneyland.
However, I finally was talked into a cruise on Royal Caribbean's "Radiance
of the Seas." Upshot is that I met some wonderful people and had a
generally terrific time. Certainly something one should try at least once.
I was very impressed with Royal Caribbean - new ship, friendly staff, great
food, great entertainment. I don't know a thing about other grusie lines

this. Raddison, Cunard (QM2), Crystal, Holland America Lines, Princess
& Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Windjammer

Looks like what you want is MAP.
Modified American Plan.
It is a discount meal plan, as in:
Modified Meal Plan.
Most places offer one. Check (carefully) what
you get for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is usually
the full menu, great for kids. You do not seem to need
a full AI., MAP was made for vacationers with your
needs. Just try asking about a "MAP", and you should
get a deal.

Raddison is owned by RC, and RC is certainly ahead of Princess and Celebrity
in ranking...
