Alan:
Some tips to ensure you get your mileage credit:
1. You should print a temporary membership card from the website.
2. Show your card every time you check in or transfer, and ask "is my
membership number recorded?" each time.
3. Keep *ALL* your boarding pass stubs, e-ticket or paper ticket
receipts, etc., as proof of travel
4. If your flights haven't shown up and been credited within say a month
of travel, then you need to get in contact with KrisFlyer and get them
credited - the process will be on the website. If you post away any
original proofs of travel, keep a photocopy or scanned image!
BTW, you're unlikely to get lounge access if you only have basic membership
and no miles - lounges are generally only for elite-level cardholders, plus
first and business class passengers.
