Just catch the train at Centraal and go direct to Rotterdam. Less than an
hour on the direct train.

No, I mean Rotterdam CS to Rotterdam Airport. This is the Netherlands. It
better not be an hour between Rotterdam CS and the airport.

Have a look at the Transavia website. It takes quite a while to go to RTM
from Rotterdam CS. There is also a bus from Amsterdam CS direct to RTM.

There is a bus (#33) from Rotterdam Central Station to Rotterdam
Airport. It takes about 20 minutes.

There is no train that I know of.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Low cost air AMS-BER |

consider that it is not that far from Amsterdam to Berlin, there are a
couple of direct trains on this route which take less than 6 hours from
amsterdam city center to berlin city center, full fare is about 88 EUR.
when you add up 2 hrs to get from amsterdam to rotterdam airport, be
there 1 hour before departure, fly 1 hour, and 1 hour to get from the
gate at Schönefeld to Berlin city center you are getting close to 6
hours travel time, too.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Low cost air AMS-BER |

Dennis, the original poster, asked about going from the Rotterdam train
station to the Rotterdam Aiport. There is no train, but the bus takes
20 minutes.

This was one of the later posts. IIUC, only Dennis knows whether he
plans Amsterdam - Berlin or Rotterdam - Berlin (seen as door to door
transportation).
