Is there a web site that will allow me to make bus arrangement while in Chile?

What city or area? intercity? I found some bus companies showing
their schedules, for El Calafate and for Santiago to Valparaiso, but
haven't found any way yet to make a reservation online.

Santiago to Temuco and then to the Pucon area.

Perhaps more important than a schedule at this time is knowing how much it
costs to take a bus from Santiago to Temuco, for example, or to Puerto Montt.

Mr. Watson:

I don't understand why you couldn't find itineraries and prices for
the various bus lines from Santiago to Temuco or Pucon or Puerto
Montt. I (not an expert at the internet) just wrote in "bus+Temuco"
and google gave me a lot of website links. I clicked on one,
viajeporchile.cl, and there was a small chart of 7 bus companies with
service to Temuco. I then typed in, in the google search box, the
name of one of them: Tur-bus. And that gave me the Tur-bus company
website (turbus.cl), and I found the page for itineraries, and then
entered the start and end of the trip, the date I chose, and what also
then showed up was a list of prices.
>From that point, out of curiosity, I went on to see what the price
would be from Santiago to Pucon and saw a list of prices varying
according to the class or comfort level of the trip, from 10,000 Ch.
pesos to 33,800.

You can calculate the price in dollars, I'm sure. You have a link to
a currency converter website, don't you?

So all of your problems are solved! Almost. Just use google
searches in smaller bits, keep your Spanish dictionary handy, and a
large glass of gin nearby!

It's easy to explain. When I began searching, I was looking for general
information (bus schedules chile cost). You picked up on Temuco, etc. (from
above), and it looks like you hit the jackpot. Thanks.
