Post subject: Malaria in Punta Cana

In June I will be traveling to Punta Cana with my 13 month old daughter for a week vacation. Should I be concerned about the risk of Malaria? The doctor advised me to put her on anti-malaria drugs. I am worried about doing that. Also are there any travel suggestions for taking a little one to Punta Cana? We will be staying at the Allegro-Occidental resort. Any suggestions will be helpful!
