Actually Matt, we know pretty well that you stay in cheap Motels.
Don't you think you can spring for some of the off strip nicer ones instead
of EL, Western or Golden Gate?
We did it as a lark last year, but honestly, places like LOC, Plaza and MSS
were not that much higher in cost. Even Sahara and Riviera has under $40.
Agreed that my days of staying at Mirage, Wynn or Mandalay Bay are long
over, but there are many places with excellent midweek rates if you take the
time to find them like Rio, Orleans, Gold Coast and Imperial Palace.
As for Motel 6, I have stayed at many of them but staying at the one in Las
Vegas is unnecessary.

The amount of money you have does not dictate whether you can have
fun. I've had heaps of fun for less than $25 a day in Vegas.
I think it is also a bit presumptuous to say if he stays at Motel 6
that must be all he can afford. More likely, it is all he wants to
spend on a hotel. I stay in cheap hotels; I can afford more. I have
fun.

Well, that trumps anything I could come up with. You win again, poopy

I know it wasn't Coco's, it was a Carrows many years ago (at least
10-13yrs ago). There also used to be one between NyNy and Monte Carlo
and even one next to Palace Staion. It was a 24 hr joint, much like a
Denny's but with better grub IMO. >> Stay informed about: Motel 6 - Tropicana Ave |

I'm sure you're right. It appears Carrow's has since left the Vegas
market. Their website shows just two Nevada restaurants, both in Reno.

It was a Carrows up until about a year before Hooters moved into that
area, as I recall. I don't remember what that restaurant is now tho. >> Stay informed about: Motel 6 - Tropicana Ave |

I would bet that on the weekdays the Trop, The Imperial Palace, Casino
Royale, (think location) or if you have a car or don't mind the walk,
the Sahara, Circus-circus tower, or the Stratosphere might be the same
price or cheaper. There's also Palace Station if you have the car.
Harrahs, Flamingo, the Hilton, or Excalibur might only be a few bucks
more. For my money, if I'm going to Vegas I want to stay somewhere that
has a casino & a coffee shop on premises. >> Stay informed about: Motel 6 - Tropicana Ave |
