I know there is a train station in Mudgee, but can't
find a schedule to get to Sydney. I expect to be in
Mudgee on 12 Dec and need to be at the Sydney Airport
at 10am on 12 Dec. How do I do that?

Dick

If you're in Mudgee on 12 December and expect to be at Sydney airport by 10
am the same day by public transport then you have no chance. There is
indeed a very fine railway station in Mudgee. However regular trains along
that line were discontinued some years ago.

There is however a bus service from Mudgee to Lithgow, connecting with
Western Line train services to Sydney.
See www.countrylink.info for schedules and bookings.

The old rail station in Mudgee is well worth a visit if anyone finds
themselves in that city. I believe it is now the Visitor Information Centre
for the district.

.... and bearing in mind that overland buses have a tendency to run late this
would be the best solution.
