I'm going to be in Mumbai for two days and Bangalore for 4 days.
Could you please post recomendations on what not to do,
what to see and where to go? Is it safe over there?

Thanks,
Art

Mumbai, don't get sucked in to little girls being a tour guide, then
asking for you to buy milk powder for their baby brother. Big scam, the
kid will not accept money but will lead you half a mile down the road
and expect you to buy some powder for RUP300+. Then when you walk off,
she takes the powder back to the vendor (probably Dad) they share the
profits or whatever.

Go to the Gate way to India, lots of tourists and lots of touts too.
There are lots of beggars everywhere. It is safe there, but very
distressing because of the poverty.

In case you are thinking of it, keep away from the red light district.
Over half the workers there have AIDS and are still turning tricks.

If you like Mangoes, try them there, hubby reckons best in the world.

Lovely architecture in town, lots of old buildings.

Do not swim in the water (other than a pool). They do all - and I mean
ALL - their business in the river and ocean.

Sorry to tell you, but it is not a place I will ever go again. But each
their own.

Haven't been to Bangalore.

There is also a ferry to Elephant Island and the caves there, it's sure
a nice trip if weather is fine.
