Dear Valued Travel Partner,
At the inaugural events for Norwegian Gem in December, we announced
Partnership 2.0, a new company-wide initiative designed to make us your best
business partner. With this initiative, we aim to strengthen our
relationship with you, at all levels and pledge to continually put into
practice changes driven by your feedback. In fact, Partnership 2.0 has been
driven by quantitative and qualitative feedback from you and has been
enabled by Apollo's billion dollar investment in NCL and Star Cruises
continued commitment and vision.
Collectively, we have taken a look at the way we work with travel partners
and identified key areas for improvement, ranging from initiatives that will
enhance our relationships at a headquarter level to major changes that will
further improve the working experience at the front line agent level. We've
completed all initial projects on or ahead of schedule, including the faster
payment of group commissions, elimination of more than 1,000 promo codes,
improved credit card policies, enhanced confirmations and additional
training on policies, pricing, promotions and products for our reservation
agents so that they can better serve you. We've also started beta testing a
resolution desk, which includes a cross-functional team with diverse
backgrounds who are fully empowered to resolve issues.
There are a number of major enhancements that are on the way, including the
full implementation of the resolution desk in early March, electronic
payment of commissions, review and revisions of all of our policies, faster
and better payment of advance marketing fees and promotional funds, improved
e-docs, and full integration of international credit card processing, along
with system upgrades to speed up credit card processing time, to name a few.
Crane Gladding, Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Passenger
Services, is leading an internal steering committee to champion Partnership
2.0. The committee is comprised of business process owners from various
areas within the company, including four former travel agents with more than
55 years of experience among them. The committee is responsible for
ensuring the completion of project deliverables and building support and
visibility of Partnership 2.0 throughout the organization and among travel
partners. This committee will also recommend future enhancements. I am
confident in their ability to bring change to our organization and meet our
goal of making us better partners.
As we move forward, we will do our best to communicate these improvements
and changes to you. We look forward to hearing how Partnership 2.0
positively impacts your business. We want you to know that we value your
partnership and we are committed to working closely with you in a true
partnership.
Sincerely,
Colin Veitch
