Hi,

I've visited Couples Negril before in 2001 and had a GREAT time.

Did Couples Ocho Rios in 2006 and it was nice, tower island was way
cool, horseback riding included was good since my now fiance' doesn't
swim which limits water stuff...

but it's on to many levels... I'm slightly handicapped and use a small
folding bicycle to get around (it's a thing called a Brompton T6) it
goes with me EVERYWHERE... but the steps from the lobby level to
restaurant/bar level was a DRAG... I could ride down to pool level :-}
after that....

so it's back to Negril... it's got VERY fiew mandatory steps... like I
can ride from pool/restaurant level to lobby level (you go around)...
only a couple of steps to the beach... and walkways everywhere important
(like to the watersports shack).

If I was going back for longer though I'd get a Villa... did that a few
years ago and for a longer stay that's the way to go.

but back to Negril.

anybody been there lately care to chime in?

I've noticed they run you to a different Cliff Bar (for diving etc) than
they did in 2001... but then there was a hurricane in between....

so what's up with that? is Rick's no more?

and do "the guys" still paddle up and down the beach in their little
boats JUST outside the official hotel swim areas?

ttyl

CocoLaPalm, Negril - If you're headed for Negril, Jamaica, make sure to consider CocoLaPalm as your destination. My wife and I just returned from a week there, and we were impressed. First, the hotel comes at a bargain compared with others on the beach, and for reasons I..

What's happening to Negril-JA ? - In the past I used to visit Negril often and enjoy its local charm, the town; almost any day of a week I could find good a reggae show by a good named artist to cap off the day. Unfortunately recently the place seem to be loosing its charm, it is..
