During our recent stay in Brazil we made lots of digital photographs. I
myself used the Leica M7, with mostly the 24/2.8 and 90/2 (APO/Asph).

I tried to carefully match the colors on the screen to the originals, and
Vuescan (www.hamrick.com) was a great help. Scanner: Nikon IV ED.

We found Brazil welcoming and not unsafe. A great place to go. We weren't in
Rio or Sao Paolo however, so we do not know the situation there. Salvador is
a great place to visit.

Also in the slides I provide some views of the Jezuit Missions on the
borders of Argentina and Paraguay. Technically they are outside Brazil, but
I have listed them in the album anyway. Interesting part of the history on
the Roman Catholic Church!

The photoalbum, with explanatory text, can be accessed through
www.vanhulsenbeek.com . Click on 'Brazil" in the upper right corner. I used
Flash, but a simple HTML page is available too.

Comments are welcome!

Wow, great photos Sander!
I spent 7 months living and working in Brazil in 2001 and really miss it.
Sao Luis and the Lencois were without a doubt the highlight of my trip, and
your photos easily show why! Incredible landscape! Although the Pelorinho
was historically very interesting, I hated staying there - lifelessly
preserved, horribly touristy and pretty unsafe too. I'd chose Sao Paulo any
day over Salvador.
Thanks again Smile
