We all know that:

1) The Underground is being rerouted and extended to provide service to T5
via Central 1/2/3.
2) Hex is being extended to T5 from 1/2/3 and HC will serve T4.

So what's happening to buses and coaches? For instance; the Rail/Air Link
buses. Currently, if I come up from Somerset to Reading the First Link
takes me to 1/2/3 and if I want T4 I have to go into Hex. It seems to me
that rerouting those to T5 (and possibly T4 as well) would remove some
traffic from the tunnel into 1/2/3 (a good thing) and provide a service that
is no worse than the current T4 situation. The same could be argued to
apply to the Woking buses but possibly not Watford.

Then what about local buses? T4 has never been wonderfully served but the
traffic on offer os significantly less than 1/2/3. With something like 40%
of all traffic moving to T5 shouldn't something like 40% of the buses move
as well?

The real point is has anyone considered (and is the a plan published
somewhere) what the optimum use of the various public transport modes
available at Heathrow once the new T5 opens? Yes, I see things about the
trains but nothing about anything else.

Brand new bus/coach station at T5, with direct access off the M25 via a
new spur road (reputedly just a one-minute journey). Transfer to the
other terminals will be free and available by bus or rail.

I don't know many details about local bus services, but numerous changes
are planned. I think most will serve either T4+T5 or T1-3, although the
N9 will serve both T1-3 and T5. I seem to remember that the development
includes a dedicated bus way from the Western Perimeter Road out to the
Bath Road.
