Punta Cana In July. Please, Help!

Hello,
I am planning a trip to Punt Cana in July as a birthday present
for my husband.
Can anyone who traveled there in July give me an idea
how good the weather is and is it raining a lot? Or is it better going
in June? Please, please, help!

The weather is gorgeous, but hot, in July. We've been there June, July and
August. I believe that in the nine years we've been going there, we had
rain twice during the day. If there was rain, it was usually in the late
evening or at night.
