Back in 2002 when our quickie Caribbean cruise was diverted from its
original first Port-of-call to St. Kitts, we were made aware by the CD, as
an aside, that St. Kitts was the most HIV infected island.
We still chose to go ashore so that my daughter's dog could relieve herself
on grass, and when we walked into town so that I could dispose of what she
had deposited, we were approached by a government official who suggested
that we leave before our dog was attacked by the wild dogs that abound near
the dock.
Even if you do not travel with a service dog, does this sound like a port
that you want to visit?
