Can anyone recommend one?
In August, Megans Bay on St Thomas was like Coney Island on the 4th of July.
We'd like to avoid that scenario again on these 2 islands. Any recommendations?
Thanks
Sue

Trunk bay is not wall to wall people, but it is pretty populated when cruise
ships come in.

Back in 2002 when our quickie Caribbean cruise was diverted from its
original first Port-of-call to St. Kitts, we were made aware by the CD, as
an aside, that St. Kitts was the most HIV infected island.

We still chose to go ashore so that my daughter's dog could relieve herself
on grass, and when we walked into town so that I could dispose of what she
had deposited, we were approached by a government official who suggested
that we leave before our dog was attacked by the wild dogs that abound near
the dock.

Even if you do not travel with a service dog, does this sound like a port
that you want to visit?

In St. Kitts we took the Fan-ta-sea excursion. Beautiful trip to a very
quiet and scenic beach on Nevis. Lunch on the beach (simple stuff with
limited menu) and a nice snorkeling stop on the way. The water was smooth
and the view along the way very serene. The catamaran was a comfortably
crowded. One of the nicest ship sponsored excursions I've been on. I
believe there are some private catamaran excursions that skip the snorkeling
and go straight to the beach in Nevis - which is about a one hour trip - but
the ride over is great.

I have a website dedicated to St Kitts and Nevis beaches at
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com." target="_blank">http://www.discover-stkitts-nevis-beaches.com.</a> The Fan-ta-sea
excursion is a catamaran /snorkeling cruise to Pinneys Beache in
Nevis. The snorkeling stop is at SHitten Bay in St Kitts. This
excursion is highly recommended.
