The information listed by shaneyward is very nice and one can see that there are so many things to see in Manchester and surrounding areas. If one head over to North Wales or up to Cumbria then he can enjoy good roads and escape from the city traffic of Manchester. A year back I did some of the drives by renting a car from http://www.carshireuk.com and it was a wonderful experience.
