10th Anniversary Celebration for Paul Gauguin
At a gala ceremony held recently in Papeete Harbor, Tahiti's government and
Regent Seven Seas Cruises celebrated 10 years of uninterrupted South Pacific
service for the ultra-luxury ship Paul Gauguin.
Marc Collins, French Polynesia's Tourism Minister, thanked Mark Conroy,
president of Regent, for Paul Gauguin's decade of year-around deployment in
Tahiti.
"From her introduction, Paul Gauguin has provided our guests with a unique
experience featuring an authentic Polynesian flavor," Conroy said. "We could
not have achieved this success without the spirit of welcome and cooperation
we continue to receive from the Tahitian government and people. Regent is
proud to operate this magnificent ship in this beautiful destination, and to
introduce Tahiti's charms to discerning travelers from around the world."
Paul Gauguin arrived in French Polynesia's Society Islands amidst much
fanfare in January 1998, launching a new cruise era in Tahiti. Paul Gauguin
has completed more than 400 South Pacific cruises, carrying more than
120,000 guests and contributing tens of millions of tourism dollars to
Tahiti's economy. Since its construction, the ship has undergone four
refurbishments at a cost of more than $15 million.
Paul Gauguin offers year-round cruises that visit Papeete, Raiatea, Taha'a,
Bora Bora, Moorea, Rangiroa, Hiva Oa and Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands
and the remote Cook Islands. Seven-day rates start at $2,195 per person.

Deepak Chopra to teach secrets of mental, physical health
Maintaining personal health and fitness in today's fast-paced world requires
innovative strategies from expert sources. Regent will provide its guests
with a means to achieve physical and mental health with an Alaska voyage
featuring celebrated doctor, spiritualist and life-extension guru Dr. Deepak
Chopra, who will host "Grow Younger, Live Longer" aboard 700-guest,
all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Mariner in June.
Developed by Chopra and Dr. David Simon, co-founders of the Chopra Center,
the program draws on the timeless cultural traditions of the East and modern
quantum physics, plus the partners' years of personal and professional
experience. "Grow Younger, Live Longer" offers a transformative 10-step
process to "reverse" biological age through instruction in stress
management, relationship fulfillment, cultivating a youthful mind, sexual
vitality, restful sleep and optimal nutrition.
Departing from Seward, Alaska on June 4, Seven Seas Mariner will cruise to
historic Sitka and Juneau, plus gold-rush era Skagway and Ketchikan, ending
in Vancouver, B.C. This seven-day journey features scenic cruising of
majestic Hubbard Glacier, Alaska's longest tidewater glacier, and Tracy Arm,
featuring steep, 2,000-foot granite walls rising out of the water. "Grow
Younger, Live Longer" costs $1,955 per person, exclusive of cruise fare. For

Jean-Michel Cousteau, Regent Extend Agreement
Regent Seven Seas Cruises and renowned naturalist Jean-Michel Cousteau have
agreed to a three-year extension of their exclusive partnership. Under the
agreement, Cousteau, the son of legendary ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau
and an acclaimed filmmaker, educator and environmentalist, will continue to
appear several times a year as a special lecturer aboard Regent ships.
Additionally, counselors from Jean-Michel's Ocean Futures Society will host
Regent's Ambassadors of the Environment Youth Circles of Interest program
aboard summer Alaska and Tahiti voyages, as well as Tahiti cruises during
the holidays. Regent launched its relationship with Cousteau in 1999. That
year, the famed explorer hosted a marine life-focused enrichment program
aboard Regent's Paul Gauguin. The success of that program led to annual
visits and later environmentally themed enrichment programs from Cousteau's
Ocean Futures Society (www.oceanfutures.org). Soon after, he introduced
Ambassadors of the Environment, an innovative and entertaining enrichment
program that provides entire families with the skills and practices
necessary to ensure a sustainable environment going forward. For more
