Restaurant near Green Valley Ranch

A couple of years ago someone recommended an Italian restaurant near
Green Valley Ranch with an excellent view of the strip. I had printed
the review and thought I had save it but I cannot find it in my Las
Vegas file. We'll be staying at GVR a couple of nights the first week
in April and would appreciate if anyone can help us remember the name
of this restaurant..... Thanks.

There are two restaurants that come to mind, Viaggio and Ventano's.
IMHO the view and food are better at Ventano's. Both of these
restaurants offer restaurant.com gift certficates. You can access the
respective menus through the restaurant.com website. Ventano's
certificates are currently sold out, but will be restocked at the
beginning of March. A $25 gift certificate
to Viaggio may be purchased for $4 by using code EXTRA before 2/29.

Have you thought about having lunch at Opus Too? It is a student run
dining room operated by a Art Institute of America's culinary school
located on the opposite side of I-215 from GVR. A 3-course lunch
will set you back only $9.95. The dining room is open for lunch Tue-
Thur and the menu changes weekly. Typically you will have a choice of
3 appetizers/salads, 3 entrees and 2 desserts. Reservations may be
made by calling 702.992.8500.
