After checking out a TON of info at tripadvisor.com, I ended up going with
Riu Palace Mexico - located between Riu Yucatan and Riu Playacar. This
other Riu in the complex was the brand new Riu Palace Riviera Maya (on the
far side of the Riu Playacar)
The "Palance" was unbelievable. The rooms, beach, pool, grounds, service,
food were all top notch. We had been happy with our previous all inclusives
in St Thomas and Aruba and this just took it to a completely different
level!
The only thing I'd change about our trip was the time of year. Late June
was just too hot - hopefully things are little more temporate in the Winter
months.
