Could anyone let me know of small business opportunities in the area ,
for a semi-retired Canadian (Aviation background) open minded,
bilingual(French,English)
tired of freezing.
Any help/comments appreciated,

Thank you

Montserrat's airport is about to re-open in the next year or so,
after only a [pseudo-commercial] helicopter service and a ferry.
Its size will permit twin-otter service.

There will be a brand new market for a small airline, providing
tours to the island for volcano viewing, as well as a linking
service between Guadeloupe, Nevis/St.Kitts and Antigua. I figure
that if you had scheduled 'loops' from Antigua via Guadeloupe
and Montserrat, and from Antigua via Montserrat, Nevis, and
St.Kitts, you could cater to the many who shop, commute and
tour on other islands. Right now it is an inconvenient and
slow process to island-hop that gap. You could also provide a
niche eastern-caribbean air/dive tour if you include Dominica
[Canefield(!)], Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Saba, and Statia.

It's a ripe opportunity for someone with an aviation background.

I think you're right. The Beaver is a great plane - 6 people and all their
luggage at 110 knots, sounds and works like a tractor, but definitely the
way to see the Outback of Canada.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Do you know the size of the" planned runway" at Montserrat , just in
case I do not have access to a Twin Otter.
Thanks
Marcel

The length is between 500m and 600m.

I believe that commercially, the only aircraft that can really
service it is the twin otter. I'm sure other non-commercial
craft can easily manage it.
