Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia - Question

Has anyone traveled to Smith Mountain Lake? If so any recommendations on
where to stay and what to do and see there? I see that the Blue Ridge
Parkway is close by and Natural Bridge about 90 minutes away.

Any first hand feedback is appreciated.

the blue ridge parkway is one of my favorite roadtrips and if you get to smith mountain lake you can check the comfort inn and holiday inn express hotel both located on rocky mount.
