I will be spending a few days in St. Thomas and wanted to take a
daytrip to Buck Island. What is the best way to get there from St.
Thomas. Are there any tour operators that service this route? A
ferry? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
Joe

I believe that the Buck Island that you're interested in is the nature
reserve off of St Croix. There is a Buck Island off of St Thomas, and
there are operations that will take you there for snorkeling trips.
The St Croix Buck Island is the better trip, and there are many day
trips from the Christiansted docks. The problem is getting there form
STT; I don't think that there are any ferries running to St Croix,so
your options are the sea plane that leaves from downtown, or a
scheduled airline flight.

We chartered a sail boat with a capt. and sailed there. Lots of fun.
