Tourists stranded, roads closed in N Qld floods
Posted 29 minutes ago

"Flash flooding in north Queensland has closed major
roads and left holiday makers stranded . . . Further north, three
people were hospitalised after their car slammed into floodwaters
on the Bruce Highway near Giru, where 252 millimetres of rain has
fallen over the past 24 hours."

Note: 252 mm = 25.2 centimeters = 9.84 inches
