Travel agents are often not interested in handling bookings on budget
airlines because of the lack of commission. In any case, its normally
far easier to make reservation for those airlines via their own
individual web sites.

You can book directly online through AirAsia www.airasia.com. It's
likely that other budget airlines have site where you can book.

Personally I've used the following travel agents in Bangkok in the past
to buy flight tickets:

Olavi http://www.olavi.com
Travex http://www.travexnet.com/

I contacted them by email and had the tickets delivered to me at the
airport.
