Anybody got any advice on the New years eve cruises in Sydney?

Looking at going, first time in Australia want to have a good time not
looking for a stuffy black tie event or anything....but we do enjoy
good wine and gourmet food.

Also, afterwards we are going to cairns area to dive, can anybody
reccomend a very nice place to stay?
