They'll get you there and back. Their operation is slightly different from
other airlines. They are no frill. Get there early to get a numbered
boarding pass. They board by numbers (1-30, 31-60, etc.). Anything lower
than 60 you pretty much have a good choice of seats. You can get a boarding
pass from their lobby kiosk, using your credit card.

I never get the point of this question. You already have the ticket. You'll
discover soon enough whether they're any good or not. How could that
information (or, more accurately, subjective opinion) help you in any way?

Have fun in cailfrdia. Steer clear of the fnords.

Don't under any circumstances fly with southwest airlines, they're not
really an airline at all, but a front for alien abductors, they
probably will get you to cailfrdia (which certainly isn't on this
planet) but you'll be slave labour in the frida mines.

If I'm not mistaken, SW has changed and groups pax as A, B, or C, with A
boarding first, then B, then C.
Passes issued at various locations- ticket desks, kiosks, gates.

Correct. I think the groups are in multiples of 45 so the 1st-45th
person to "checkin" gets into group A, 46th-90th in Group B....<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
