Come to Canada if you want a good diet. If you like good foods stay away!
There are no good foods or restaurants here. Canadaian TV will proove that.
We advertise often but only Hamburgers. Be it McDonalds, Wendeys or Burger
King. Oh ya, we also have KFC, Subway, Pizza or Chinesse tortias.

But if you look for restaurants with real type foods, we don't have any. The
older "European Babuskas" are dead now and Canadian women don't cook or even
know anything about it. We used to have some normal restaurants in the
Eaton, Simpson Sears, Bay or Coop stores. There you could have ordered
Schnicel with potatos, Pork with cabage or dumpling, fried liver and onion,
good potato salads, various fish salads tec. But they don't exist anymore.
You have to go and test the Canadian meat stores and if you have time or
good wife she can take some time off and cook somethin for you.

You can always test the Canadian bologna with macaroni or other tasteless
products. Wanna hint? We travel across the line and get better meals than in
our Canada. You don't have to worry that you will throw awyay potato salads
or egg salads. Even the meats and sausages are better tasting there. I
wonder why it is. In short, the feature of Canadian cooking is not that
good.

But come anyway. The scenery is beautiful, but bring your own food or good
cook with you. We don't have any here.

<My two cents...> Michael.

Because Michael has chosen to express his opinion you bash him. Seems
you live in the world of Murray.

Michael, now you know what happens when you end up A-C-D-C.

Seems only fair to me since he bashed 50% of the population of Canada
(women) saying we don't know how to cook. Now I KNOW I can cook, my
friends are always attempting to invite themselves for dinner. Seems
to me that Michael just doesn't know where to shop and as far as
cooking is concerned if he can't find a decent meal, well then, learn
how to cook yourself Michael.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I don't think my cooking is that much of the problem. I'm use to good German
or other richer foods. It si the
future of my children and all other Canadian kids you shoud consider. All
they know is junk food and the TV
commercials can't advertise anything much better, because there isn't much
more available. Sure there may be
some good cooks left, but not too many.

I think the only people offenended are the once this would apply to. ...or
can't you handle the truth?

Maybe it is time to demand more better foods like in other countries.
Michael.

Handle the truth? You obviously only enjoy German foods, sorry but
Canada has alot of diversity to it's cooking. You may not enjoy other
cultures' foods but did you ever think that the rest of us do?
Seems to me you haven't even considered that particular point.

Secondly if you are so worried about your own children's diet then I
suggest you do something about it and leave the rest of us to worry
about our own loved ones.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
