Anyone know of any? My mother lives in Greece and I can get a connecting
flight at Athens to an airport near her but getting to Athens is a PITA.
Currently I fly from Luton with easyjet but as I live near Manchester it's a
ballache to get there. I suppose I really want a flight from Manchester or
Liverpool and at a push I suppose I could do Leeds/Bradford.
I'm also looking at possibly getting there from another country (cheap
easyjet to Amsterdam for instance, then a flight from there but not having
much luck thanks to the timetables).

Unfortunately the flight from Gatwick to Athens leaves before the flight
from Manchester arrives. I'd have to spend 23 hours at Gatwick.

It's really not that easy to get dirt cheap flights on Easyjet to
Athens, in my experience, and the £30 Jet2 return flights to Gatwick are
pretty slim pickings too. You can get direct flights from the NW to
Athens for around £150 if you look around. That may well be the best
option. I'm certainly interested to know if there are cheaper ways
though!

I don't want to pay that much for a flight though. It sounds tight of me I
know but it's me and 3 kids so it all mounts up.

Can't get any flight from Excelairways no matter which date I try (shame as
their timetable shows the arrival time to be perfect).
Hellas Jet looks perfect too and is cheap. Many thanks for that.

Go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.travel-uk.co.uk" target="_blank">www.travel-uk.co.uk</a>
then click on the link for online travel, this is a consolidator that is
used in independent travel agents, when i checked olympic do a direct flight
from manchester to athens, although only did it for this moth, the online
search engine is very good, but a bit slow as it searches lots of different
airlines
Good luck

KLM's not too bad with Manchester - Amsterdam - Athens for £134. Must
compare well with Easyjet, especially including the hassle of getting to
Luton from the North West.

There are other travel agents in this newsgroup who do not use it to tout for
business, but are more than willing to answer questions and make helpful
suggestions without even mentioning the companies they work for.

I would have thought that "Cheap flights to Athens" would have been a
clue on that one!

Out of curiosity since when has lastminute.com been a consolidator used by
other travel agents.
