That's what I'd hoped. Keith's comment about Germans not liking things
too spicy is true I think. That said, no complaints from me- I like
German food- not a single dissapointing dish in four days there over the
weekend. And cheap too, of course. It's not easy to spend a lot on
dinner there.

I was thinking sashimi. The herring is marinated, and less subtle than
sashimi usually is- aquavit compliments that very well.

Oh boy!
In Germany, you don't eat Currywurst because it's "so great". In fact, no
German considers Currywurst "great". The locals simply eat the stuff
because they can. And because - at fairs and markets - you get to pick
either that (with beer), or coffee and (usually excellent) cakes and
pies.
