Happy Birthday!
I thought you had been rather quiet but then I thought maybe you were
gearing up for a big Cameron's Club announcement.
Have you thought of who will fill in for Mr. Linden on his night off? May I
suggest James Darren? I keep missing him in Vegas and he seems like the
kind of class act Cameron's Club would have.

Where Cameron lives, the cold northern air keeps things fresh looking long
after their expiration date.

Yep, I am; Matt & me were just joking around. I turned 33 years old
on Mon., or as I like to say, "33 years experienced."

I fail to see the humor, Cam. Nothing at all funny about turning 60.

Back in the late 60s, when Cameron and I were both still young men
dodging drafts and whatnot, we shared an apartment in Minot right next
to a nunnery. Well, we had a hi-fidelity system to envy: all Marantz
with a linear-tracking LP player and enormous speakers covered in a
gold-weave fabric.
We'd get Carlos Antonio Joabim, Esquivel, Martin Denny and Herb
Alpert's "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" cranked up so loud it made
the tear-drop chandelier in the dining room swing. Occasionally, the
older nuns would send the fresh recruits over to ask us to turn it
down.
I don't need to tell you that many never made it back to the convent.
A few sips of Dos Hombre or Boone's Farm plus a spin of "Tijuana Taxi"
or "Mucha Muchacha" and they forgot all about their sacred calling.
It's amazing that Cam and I have been friends for 40 years now, when
you think about it. In 1972, I moved out of state at the request of
local officials after one regrettable night involving a root beer
stand, a girl Cameron liked and a fire truck we "borrowed". But we
always kept in touch: first by carrier pigeon, later by telegraph and
mail, and finally through BBS and then the Internet.
Sorry to rib you about being 64, Cam. I know you're only 61. After
all, we share the same birthday.

Caught a glimpse of Cameron's ND Driver's License when the bouncer at OG
asked to see his ID. The bouncer thought it was a fake because of the
birthdate. Cameron was born in 1947. >> Stay informed about: Ping Cameron.... |

I don't know how old you are CAM, but you is one, big, FAT mother.
I am not as fat as you.
If Elmer, Gorgy and CAM all lost weight together, they would create another
man.....
and he would be fat too!

Actually, Matt, I didn't dodge the draft. Before I met you I did 3
tours in 'Nam from '65-'67. I was only going to put in one tour, but I
ended up with a 1/3 interest in an illegal casino in Saigon. It got
shut down just as my 3rd tour ended, so I opted not re-up. How do you
think I got the money for all that fancy Marantz hi-fi gear?
As far as your incident leaving the great state of ND, I don't blame
you. You had every right to do what you did after what that A&W manager
said to you. As for the girl, I did like Jocelyn, but I found out later
she only was interested in me because of my Dodge Challenger with the
440 Hemi, rally wheels, & racing stripes.
