Post subject: sewage treatment San Andres

We are heading off to a rather miniscule 24 sqkm island, San Andres,
where I notice the hotels and beaches are very close to the town. Our
hotel is jammed in between the town and the ocean.
It just got me wondering, How do they process sewage on these small
islands? (knowing that in Halifax they still dump directly into the
ocean.)
